Granting to the Texas & grew Orleans Railroad Company a right
of way for one additional switch track along a portion of Main
StrPet east of Keith Parrextenrtltng Northward across Forsythe
Street into ^-,rpress Street, and conti,�uing Norhtward on 'Cypress
Street to the Northeast corner of Lot #612 in Block #18 in the
City of Beaumont, Texas.
Be it ordained by the City Cotu;cil of the City of Beaumont:
Section One.
That the Texas & �Tew Orleans Railroad Compar�r be and it is hereby
granted a right , of vgay and privilege to construct andoperate a swite h
or spur track from .,a connection with its present- spur track or
switch on Main Street at a point in Main Streot on said switch
track, east ;yard from the center of Keith Park; thence Northward
on Main Street to the intersection of Frs.-the Street; thence across
Forsythe, Street to the intersection of Cypress Street; thence alon,,
and Northward on Cypress Street to the North corner of Lot #612
Block #18 in the City of Beal.rnont , about as shown by the red line.
on blue print attached and marked "!Pxhibit A" and made a Part of
this ordinance.
Section Two.
The rights herein granted to the Texas & New Orleans Railroad
Compa-rW are so granted upon express coedit ions that the said
Railroad Company, its successors and assigns shall. in all things
strictly cormly with all provisions of the City Charter of the City
of Beaumont, and with all. ordinances that ray bn l•awfully passed
by the City Council of said C ity, regulat; ing Railroad tracks,
turn outs, spurs and s-,itchcs -,vithin the City limits andithat said
Railroad Corpar�y shall and will fill in between its ties and rails
Strep t east of Ke ith Pari, ext ending Northward across Forsythe
Street into Cypress Street and con ti),juing Norh tward on Cypress
r Street to the -Northeast corner of Lot #612 in Block #r18 in the
City of Beaumont, Texas.

Railroad Company, its successors a -rid assigns shall in all things
strictly comply with all provisions of the City Charter of the City
of Beaumont, and wit�i all ordinances that r_1ay be lawfully passed
by the City Council of said C ity, regula,t ing Railroad tracks,
turn outs, s -ours and s, itches within the %iter limits andzthat said
Railroad C oripany shall and will fill in b-etwee n its ties and rails
and Y,etween its present switch track and t?le one to be constructed
hereunder, with rock shell, gravel or sand as may be directed by
the Cit%r Council and to keep the same ballasted with such material
so that

and shall accrue in favor of the said Railroad Company only upon
the f ilinrr of a �Aritten acceptance of the terms hereof, and, the
said acceptance to be executed by the prover officers of the Texas
& 'New Orleans Railroad Company -and f it ed with the City Secretary-
of
ecretaryof this City within !,thirty days. from the approval 'hereof by the

right to build a switch track leading off from its track now on
Main Street into the property adjoining Main Street on the Fast.
known as S. P. Kelley property, we hereby accept such franchise
according to the terms of the Ordinance passed by your Honorable
