AN ORDINANCE GRANTING CONSENT FOR PENNZOIL
UNITED, INC. TO TRANSFER AND ASSIGN ITS
FRANCHISE TO UNITED GA.S, INC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:

That consent is hereby given, pursuant to.Section XIV of the
franchise granted to United Gas Corporation by the City -of Beau-
mont on October 9, 1951, for Pennzoil United, Inc., as successor
of United Gas Corporation, to transfer and assign its franchise
to construct and operate.a gas system in the City of Beaumont
to United Gas, Inc., a Texas corporation, an application to
make such transfer having been filed -with the City of Beaumont
by Pennzoil United, Inc. requesting such consent. This consent
shall be effective as of the date of the consummation of the
transfer by Pennzoil United, Inc. to United Gas, Inc. of its
properties and franchise in the City of,Beaumont.
PASSED by the City Council this'the 16th day of
December, 1969.
