ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
THE TWENTY (20') FEET BY TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-
SEVEN (277') FEET UNIMPROVED ALLEY RIGHT-OF-
WAY LOCATED ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF BLOCK B.
OAKWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEA.UMONT, JEF-
FERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY_THE CITY.OF,BEAUMONT,,TEXAS:
That the Twenty (20') feet by Two Hundred Seventy-seven (277')
feet unimproved alley right-of-way, as hereinafter described,
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, be and the
same is hereby vacated and abandoned, said unimproved:alley
right-of-way to be abandoned being described as follows, to
-.wit:
Being a tract of land out of and a part of
Block "B" Oakwood Addition, David Brown
Survey, Abstract 6, Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 3 Page
156 and in Volume 4 Page 67 of the Map
Records of said Jefferson County; said tract
being twenty (20) feet in width and two
hundred seventy-seven (27.7) feet in length
and abutting the north lines of Lots 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, and 8 of said Block B and being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot
8, Block B, Oakwood Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, said point
being in the west line of Grove Street (which
has a sixty (60) feet wide right-of-way, and
lying one hundred thirty-six and five tenths
(136.5) feet north of the north line of Burt
Street (which has a sixty (60) feet wide right -
of -wad; .
Thence North along the east line of said Lot 8
produced or the west line of said Grove Street
twenty (20) feet to corner;
Thence West along a line parallel with and
twenty (20) feet north of the north lines of
Lots:8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, Block B said Oakwood
Addition two hundred seventy-seven (277) feet
to corner;
Thence South along a line parallel with and
two hundred seventy-seven (277) feet west -of
the west line of said Grove Street twenty (20)
feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 3,
said .point being one hundred thirty-six and
five tenths (136.5) feet north of the north
-line of said Burt Stre.et;
Thence East along the north lines of said Lots
3, 4, 5-, 6, 7, and 8 two hundred seventy-seven
(277) feet to the place -of beginning.
PASSED by the.City Council this 23rd day, of September,
1969.
