WEST OAKLAND ADDITION IN THE -CITY --OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 7865 BROUSSARD ROAD,
THE SAME BEING TRACT 28; PLAT RS -5, D. EASLEY
SURVEY.IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,.JEFFERSON
COUNTY, TEXAS; 1465 - 1485 GRANT STREET AND 2060
CARROLL STREET, THE SAME BEING TRACTS 34 AND 35,
PLAT H, D. BROWN SURVEY IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,

THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS;
AND 3870 PINE STREET, THE SAME BEING TRACT 116,
PLAT D-20, A. WILLIAMS SURVEY IN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, TO BE A PUB-
LIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEM TO BE DEMOLISHED'
WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OR TO BE DEMOLISHED,BY
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT; MAKING FAILURE TO COMPLY
A MISDEMEANOR; AND PROVIDING FOR A LIEN FOR ANY
EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT IN
HAVING SAID BUILDING DEMOLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY.OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
The City Council of The City of Beaumont, Texas, hereby
finds and declares the buildings located at 2999 Emile Street,
the same being Lots 7 & 8, Block .22, Arlington Addition in the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3110 Westmoreland
Street, the same being Lot 22, Block 31, West Oakland Addition
in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3546 Edmonds
Street, the same being Lot 16, Block 17, West Oakland Addition
in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 7865 Broussard
Road, the same being Tract 28, Plat RS -5, D. Easley Survey in
the City of Beaumont,, Jefferson County,. Texas; 1465-;.--1485 Grant
Street and 2060 Carroll Street, the same being Tracts 34 & 35,
Plat H, D. Brown Survey in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas; 914 Finnis Street, the same being Tract 24, Plat M, D.
Brown Survey in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;

and 3870 Pine Street, the same being Tract 116, Plat D-20, A.
Williams Survey in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
to be a public nuisance, in that said buildings are structurally
unsafe in that they are liable to fall down and injure persons
or property.
Section 2.
In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the
Charter of The City of Beaumont, and Section 13-20 of the Code
of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, it is hereby ordered that the
owner or owners of the buildings located upon the above described
property in The'City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, de-
molish and tear down within thirty (30) days, of the date of
the passage of this ordinance, said structures so located on
the above described property, and if such action is not taken
the owners�of said buildings shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and said buildings shall be demolished and removed
at the expense of The City of Beaumont on the account of the
owner thereof, and such expense shall be assessed as a special
tax against the property upon which said buildings are situated
and a lien shall exist for such special tax, which lien shall
be foreclosed and said expense be recovered by The City of
Beaumont, as in the case of any other debt and.lien in favor
of The City of Beaumont.
PASSED by the City Council this 22nd day of July, 1969.
