ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE FINDING THE BUILDINGS LOCATED
AT 2345 EUCLID STREET, THE SAME BEING LOT 13, BLOCK
11, BOOKER HEIGHTS ADDITION -IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 25 SAWYER STREET, THE SAME
BEING LOT 10, BLOCK 38 VAN WORMER 2ND ADDITION IN
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 410
FLETCHER STREET, THESMVE BEING LOT 1.,. BLOCK 4 NORTH
IST ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS; 3198 BRENHAM STREET, THE SAME BEING LOTS 33,
.344, .35, and -36, BLOCK 5, _WEST -END ADDITION IN THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 1047 GRAND
(REAR), THE SAME BEING LOT 18, BLOCK 2, LONG ADDITION
IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, 712
PLUM STREET, THE SAME BEING TRACT'21, BLOCK 29 NORTH
ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY
TEXAS; AND 426 GOLIAD STREET, THE SAME BEING LOTS 42,
43 AND 44, BLOCK 4, CROCKETT ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, TO BE A -PUBLIC
NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEM TO BE DEMOLISHED WITHIN
THIRTY___ 3.0-) DAYS' OR TO BE DEMOLISHED BY.:THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT; MAKING FAILURE TO COMPLY A MISDEMEANOR;
AND PROVIDING FOR LIEN FOR ANY EXPENSES INCURRED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT IN HAVING SAID BUILDING
DEMOLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
The City Council of The City of Beaumont, Texas, here-
by finds and declares the buildings located at 2345 Euclid
Street, the same being Lot 13, Block 11, Booker Heights Addition
in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 25 Sawyer Street,
the same being Lot 10, Block 38 Van Wormer 2nd Addition in the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 410 Fletcher Street,
the same being Lot 1, Block 4 North 1st Addition in the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3198 Brenham Street, the
same being Lots.33;..34, 35 and 36, Block 5, West End Addition
in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1047 Grand
(rear), the same bang Lot 18, Block 2, Long Addition in the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 712 Plum Street, the
same being Tract 2, Block 29 North Addition in the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and 426 Goliad Street,
the same being Lots 42, 43 and 44, Block 4, Crockett Addition
in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, to be a public
misance in that said buildings constitute a fire hazard in that
said structures are dangerous in character and are in such condi-
tion as
to constitute a hazard
to firemen as well as
surrounding

structures.
Section 2.
In accordance with Article XVII;: Section 2, of the
Charter of The City of Beaumont, and Section 13-20 of the Code
of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, itis hereby ordered that the
owner or owners of the buildings located upon the above described
property in The City of Beaimont, Jefferson County, Texas, de-
molish and tear down within thirty (30) days, of the date of the
passage of this ordinance, said structures so'located on the
above described property, and if such action is not taken the
owners of said buildings shall be deemed guilty of a.,:misdemeanor,
and said buildings shall be demolished and removed at the expense
of The City of Beaumont on the account of the owner thereof, and
such expense shall be assessed as a special tax against the
property upon which said buildings are situated and a lien shall
exist for such special tax, which lien shall be foreclosed and
said expense be recovered by The City of Beaumont, as in the case
of any other debt and lien in favor of The City af:Beaumont.
