NOAH TEVIS SURVEY IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 2444 AND 2550 RAIL- ROAD AVENUE, THE SAME BEING THE SOUTH 3/4 OF LOT 5, BLOCK 34, ARLINGTON ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 2136 IRVING, THE SAME BEING THE SOUTH 2 OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1, AMOS ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,.JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 3165 WESTMORELAND, THE SAME BEING LOT 63 BLOCK 30, WEST OAKLAND ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 1240 BRADLEY STREET, THE SAME BEING THE WEST z OF THE EAST z OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1, SOUTH BLANCHETTE ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; 820 21ST STREET, THE SAME BEING THE NORTH 35 FEET OF LOT 75 LOT 8 AND THE SOUTH 2 OF LOT 9, BLOCK 6, CALDER PLACE ADDITION IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDER THEM TO BE DEMOLISHED WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OR TO BE - DEMOLISHED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT; MAKING FAILURE TO COMPLY A MISDEMEANOR; AND PRO- VIDING FOR A LIEN FOR ANY EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT IN HAVING SAID BUILD- ING DEMOLISHED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT .7 TEXAS: Section 1. The City Council of The City of Beaumont, Texas, here- by finds and declares the buildings located at 1695 Verone Street, the same being Lots 13, 14 and 15, Block 5, Neches River Park Addition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 760 K.C.S. Street, the same being Lot 493, Block 64, Beaumont Ad- dition in The City_of Beaumont, Jefferson County,.Texas; 555 and 558 Buford Alley, the same being Plat N, Tract 5, D. Brown Sur- vey of The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 615 Blanc- hette Street, the same being Plat B, Tract 4, Noah Tevis Survey of The City of Beaumont, Jefferson -County, Texas; 2444 and 2550 Railroad Avenue, the same being the South 3/4 of Lot 5, Block 34, Arlington Addition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas., 2136 Irving, the same being the South 2 of Lot 1, Block 1, Amos Addition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3165 Westmoreland, the same being Lot 6, Block 30, West Oakland Addition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,, Texas; 1240 Bradley Street, the same being the West 2 of the East 2 of Lot 1, Block 1, South Blanchette Addition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 820 21st Street, the same being the North 35 feet of Lot 7, Lot 8 and the South 2 of Lot 9, Block 6, Calder Place Addition in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, to be a public nuisance, in that said buildings are, structurally unsafe in that they are liable to fall down and injure persons or property. In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of The City of Beaumont, and Section 103.4 of the Southern Standard Building Code, said Code having been incor- porated by reference in its entirety by Section 8-1 of the Code of Ordinances of The City of Beaumont, Texas, it is hereby or- dered that the owner or owners of the buildings located upon the above described property in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, demolish and tear down within thirty (30) days of the date of the passage of this ordinance, said structures so located on the above described property; and,if such action is not taken, the owners of said buildings shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and said buildings shall be demolished and re- moved at the expense of The City of Beaumont on the account of the owner thereof; and such expense shall be assessed as a special tax against the property upon which said buildings are situated and a lien shall exist for such special tax, which lien shall -2- be foreclosed and said expense be recovered by The City of Beaumont as in the case of any other debt and lien in favor of The City of Beaumont.
