ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, ADOPTED ON JUNE 27,
1969, BY TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT
NUMBER 999-G-14, CONTINGENCY APPROPRIATION
AND FROM_ -ACCOUNT NUMBER 203-A-3, PUBLIC
SAFETY, FIRE, TO ACCOUNT NUMBER 203-E-16,
PUBLIC SAFETY, FIRE.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the transfer
of certain unencumbered appropriation balances from Accpunt Number
999-G-14, Contingency Appropriation, and from Account Number 203-A-3,
Public Safety, Fire, to Account Number 203-E-16, Public Safety, Fire;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the need for this
transfer constitutes an unforeseen condition and creates a case of grave
public necessity and that the recommendation of the City Manager should
be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
I.
That the budget of The City of Beaumont adopted on June 27,
1969, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1969 and ending June 30, 1970,
be and the same is hereby amended by taking $5, 344. 00 out of Account
Number 999-G-14, Contingency Appropriation and by taking $30, 000. 00
out of Account Number 203=A-3, Public Safety, Fire -Operations, and
transferring the $35, 344..00 to Account Number 203-E-16, Public Safety,
Fire -Replacement of Equipment.
PASSED by the City Council this 28th day of April, 1970.
