ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING CERTAIN FIVE (5) FOOT
WIDE UTILITY EASEMENTS AND CERTAIN
THIRTY (30) FOOT WIDE EASEMENTS FOR
STREET PURPOSES IN AND ACROSS THE
REAR PORTIONS OF LOTS IN BLOCK ONE
(1) AND TWO (2) OF THE WESTWOOD
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS; _SAID
EASEMENTS HAVING NEVER BEEN ACCEPT-'
ED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, BUT
ARE ON FILE IN THE DEED RECORDS
OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That those certain five (5) toot wide utility easements and
those certain thirty (30) foot wide street easements describ-
ed as follows:
BEING only those certain five (5)
foot wide utility easements and
certain thirty (30) toot wide ease-
ments for street purposes which lie
in and across the rear portions of
lots in Block,: One (1) and Block: -
Two (2) of the Westwood Addition to
.the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, said addition being
recorded in the Map Records of
Jefferson County, Texas, in Volume 5,
Page 82, filed for record on October 245
1928; said easements to be abandoned
being those five (5) foot and thirty (30)
foot easements which were dedicated to the
public and created and reserved by the
Gist Realty Company within the individual
deeds to lots in the Westwood Addition,
said public easements were to be per-
petual dedications to run with the title
to the land; said public easements having
never been accepted by the City of Beaumont
but are on file in the Deed Records of
Jefferson County, Texas; and the intention
of this description is to abandon only
those public easements mentioned above as
were conveyed by the Gist Realty Company
or its officers, SAVE AND.EXCERT any of
the Gist Realty Company public easements
which may lie in, across or upon Lot One (1),
Block One (1) and Lots One (1) and Fifty -
.Five (55), Block Two (2), said Westwood
Addition, which easements are specifically
retained by. the City of Beaumont, Texas,
for all purposes.
