ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, BY ADDING A SECTION,
TO BE NUMBERED SECTION 8-8, PROHIBITING BUILDINGS AND
STRUCTURES WITHIN TEN (10) FEET OF THE EAST RIGHT-OF-
WAY LINE OF PASADENA AVENUE FOR A DISTANCE OF THREE
HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN (313) FEET SOUTH FROM THE INTER-
SECTION OF THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PASADENA
AVENUE AND THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF WALDEN.ROAD;
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

That Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas,
is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered Section 8-8,
which said section reads as follows:
"Sec. 8-8. Setback line on Pasadena Avenue.
"(1) No building or structure shall be constructed
within ten (10) feet of the east right-of-way line of
Pasadena Avenue for a distance of three hundred and
thirteen (313) feet south from the intersection of the
east right-of-way line of Pasadena Avenue and the south
right-of-way line:of Walden Road, said setback area
being located along and in'the west ten (10) feet of
Lot 9, Block 2 of the C. E. Smith's Beaumont Citrus
Fruit Gardens Addition, out of the S. Stivers League,
in Beaumont, Texas.
"(2) It shall be unlawful for any person to construct,
reconstruct or erect any building or structure in viola-
tion of this section; and no building permit will be
issued for such building or structure.",
Section 2.
Any person who violates the provi'sions of this ordinance
shall upon conviction be punished as provided in Section 1-8 of
the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas
