ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF STATES
UTILITIES COMPANY TO,PLACE IN EFFECT NEW AND
REVISED SCHEDULES, TO WIT: REVISED SCHEDULES
LPS, LARGE POWER SERVICE, LIS, LARGE INDUS-
TRIAL SERVICE, LIP -OP, RIDER TO SCHEDULE LIS
FOR OFFPEAK SERVICE, LIS -ST, RIDER TO SCHED-
ULE LIS FOR SHORT TERM'SERVICE, 460, RIDER FOR
AUXILIARY OR STANDBY SERVICE, AND FC, FACIL-
ITIES CHARGE RIDER, AND NEW SCHEDULE LGS-ACH,
SPECIAL AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING RIDER TO
SCHEDULE LGS, EFFECTIVE AS TO SERVICE RENDERED
BY SUCH COMPANY ON AND AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, 1970.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company on
has requested authority to place into effect revised Schedules
LPS, LIS, LIS -OP, LIS -St, 460 and FC and new Rate Schedule
LGS-ACH. Such new and revised schedules have been filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont and approved by the
- City -Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to
place into effect to its customers located in Beaumont, Texas
revised Rate Schedules LPS, LIS, LIS -OP, LIS -St, 460 and FC
and new Rate Schedule LGS-ACH as to service rendered on and
after September 1, 1970.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in
any manner now or hereafter limiting or modifying the right and
power of the City Council under the law to regulate the rates
charged by Gulf States Utilities Company for its service with-
in the City of Beaumont, Texas.
