ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 37,
SECTION 37-58.1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: ESTABLISHING THE PRIMA
FACIE SPEED LIMITS UPON CERTAIN STREETS,
HIGHWAYS OR PORTIONS OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS:
BY REDUCING THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT ON AN
AREA OF WASHINGTON BOULEVARD FROM A POINT
208' WEST OF WACO STREET TO A POINT 192' EAST
OF WACO STREET; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Section 37-58.1 of the Code of Ordinances of
Beaumont, Texas, is hereby amended by adding the following
designation of speed limit for a portion.of Washington Boulevard,
same to be added between the present designation in the present
ordinance 37-58.1 between Wallace Street and Waverly Street as
follows:
Washington Boulevard
East From a point 208' west
& of Waco Street to a point
West 192' east of Waco Street
2.
That any person who violates any provision of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in
Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular
set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to
be invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various portions
and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.

4.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
