ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-2.OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION THERETO ENTITLED
SUBSECTION (15); REQUIRING A LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR'S
PERMIT; PROVIDING AN ANNUAL TAX OF $25 FOR EACH
SUCH LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR'S PERMIT; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Section 3-2 of the Code of Ordinances be amended
by adding a. new subsection entitled Subsection (15) thereto
which said Subsection (15) shall read as follows:
"Local Distributor's Permit. From the holder of
each 'local and distributor's permit', domiciled
in the City and carrying on business therein
under such permit, an annual tax or fee of $25
for each such permit."
2.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular
set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held
invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various pro-
visions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
3.
Any person who violates or fails to comply with any
provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished

Beaumont, Texas.
