BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
The City Council of Beaumont, Texas, hereby finds and
declares the buildings located at 1411-12-49-65-75-85 Wallace
(nine buildings), the same being Tract 3, Plat A-1, of the
David Brown Survey to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas; 1098 Evalon,
the

being Lot 19,
Block 18,
of the
Chaison Addition to
the
City
of Beaumont,
Jefferson
County,

Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 2870 Smart, the same being
Lot 3, Block 37, of the Van Wormer Addition Second to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1273 Liberty (rear),
the same being Lot 5, Block 24, of the Calder Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1310 Neches, the
same being Lot 1, Block 3, of the Simpson Addition to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1635 LaSalle, the same
being Tract 13, Plat D-20, of the A. Williams Survey to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 980 Powell, the same
being Lot 5, Block 8, of the Leonard Addition to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1920 Leiper, the same being
Lot 4 and 5, Block 2, of the J. D. Adams Addition to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and 2025 Leiper, the
same being Lot 8, Block 1, of the J. D. Adams Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, each to be a public
nuisance in that said buildings are for want of repairs, or
by reason of age or dilapidated condition, liable to cause or
promote fires that would endanger persons or property.

Section 2 .
In. accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the
Charter of the City of Beaumont, and Section 13-20 of the Code
of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the
Southern Standard Building Code, the same having been incorpor-
ated by reference into the ordinances of the City of Beaumont
by Section 8-1 of said ordinances, it is hereby ordered
that the owner or owners of the buildings located upon the
above-described property in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, demolish and tear down within thirty (30) days
of the date of the passage of this ordinance, said structures
so located on the above-described property; and, if such
action is not taken, the owners of said buildings shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemenaor and said buildings shall be
demolished and removed at the expense of the City of Beaumont
on the account of the owner thereof; and such expense shall
be assessed as a special tax against the property upon which
said buildings are situated and alien shall exist for such
special tax, which lien shall be foreclosed and said expense
be recovered by the City of Beaumont as in the case of any
other debt and lien in favor of the City of Beaumont.
