ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
BY REPEALING SECTION 8-9 AND ENACTING A NEW
SECTION 8-9 IN LIEU THEREOF, BY DEFINING THE
FLOOD HAZARD AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
TO BE THAT AREA SHOWN ON FEDERAL INSURANCE
ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL FLOOD INSURANCE MAPS
NUMBERS 148245049005, 1482450490063 148245049007
AND 148245049008; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Chapter 8 of the Code of.Ordinances of the City
of Beaumont be amended by repealing Section 8-9 and enacting
a new Section 8-9 in lieu thereof, which Section 8-9 shall
read as follows:
11Sec. 8-9. Establishment of Flood Hazard Areas.
"Flood hazard. areas are hereby established within
the City of Beaumont and are designated as Zone
A as identified on the Federal Insurance Adminis-
tration Official Flood Insurance Maps Numbers
1482450490053 148245049006, 148245049007 and
148245049008 dated October 30, 1970, and on file
in the office of the Clerk of the City of Beaumont."
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a par-
ticular set of persons,or circumstances should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect
the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the
various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.

Section 3.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
