HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 73-23No Text Section 2. Chapter 42, Section 42-45(e) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows; "(e) Residential Streets. A 'residential street' is a street w is may be of limited continuity used primarily for access to the abutting property and the local needs of the neighbor- hood. Residential streets shall be constructed in new subdivisions by the developers of said new subdivisions and shall be accepted by the City upon.completion and determination that they conform to the City's standards. The right- of-way required for residential streets shall be fifty (50') feet in width. Pavement width shall be twenty-six (26') feet from face to face of curb. Drainage shall be underground as requiredto serve the subdivision and shall be provided by the developer. The City will pay the difference in cost when a larger storm sewer pipe than adequate for a particular sub- division is required by the City. Increased cost will.be determined by determining increased' pipe costs and multiplying by two (2). Roll -type curbs are allowed and curbs and gutters of Portland cement concrete are required. Side- walks are not required. Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence or claus.e or phrase of this ordinance or the application of the same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should, for any reason, be held invalid, said invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
