HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 73-15LN/im/2/15/73Z ORDINANCE NO. 73-15 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 37, SECTION 37-58(K) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS; ESTABLISHING PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS UPON FARM ROAD 364 (MAJOR DRIVE); PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND -PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: Sec tion 1. That Section 37-58(K) of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: Street Limits of Zones Direction of Travel (K) Farm to (a) From the centerline North Market of State Highway 105 and Highway to a point .860 miles South 364 south of the center - (Major line of State Highway Drive) 105. (b) From a point .860 miles North south of the centerline and of State Highway 105 to South a point 160 feet north of the centerline of Dishman Road. (c) From a point 160 feet north of the centerline of Dishman Road to a point 200 feet north of the centerline of Manion Drive. (d) From a point 200 feet north of the centerline of Manion Drive to a point 221 feet north of the center- line of Calder (0ld Sour Lake Road). (e) From a point 221 feet north of the centerline of Calder to a point 360 feet south of the centerline of U. S. Highway 90. (f) From a point 360 feet south of the center- line of U. S. Highway 90 to a point 500 feet north of the centerline of Frazier Street. Speed In Miles Per Hour Maximum Minimum 55 (Survey Date October 18, 1972) That any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of -.Beaumont, Texas. Section 3. That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the. remaining portions'of this ordinance; and to that end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
