ORDINANCE N0. 73-14
ENTITLED ANORDINANCE ,REPEALING ARTICLE II
OF CHAPTER 34 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT RELATING TO CITY DE-
POSITORIES,
WHEREAS, Articles 2559-2566a, Texas Civil Statutes
Annotated, provide regulations and rules for selecting city
depositories and for securities for city deposits; and,
WHEREAS, Article II of Section 34 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Beaumont regulates same; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that
Article II of Chapter 34 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Beaumont is unnecessary since the subject matter of
city depositories is comprehensively regulated by said above
mentioned Articles of Texas Civil Statutes Annotated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Article II of Chapter 34 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Beaumont is, and the same is hereby, repealed.
