CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42
SECTION 42-43 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS TO ADOPT AN OF-
FICIAL STREET AND HIGHWAY PLAN DATED JULY
3, 1973; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY..
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Section -42-43 of Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordi-
nances of the City of Beaumont, Texas, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 42-43. Official Street and Highway Plan."
"The official street and highway plan
for the adequate development of arterial
and collector streets in the City dated
July 3, 1973, is hereby incorporated into
and made a part of this Section by reference,
and shall be onfile in the office of the
City Clerk; provided, however, that nothing
herein shall be construed to affect the
adoption of the official map of the City
which ordinance of adoption is codified
in Section 33-1, or to affect the incor-
poration of the zoning map of the City, which
adoption of said zoning map is codified
in Section 42-1.1.
2.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a parti-
cular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be
held invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the re-
maining portions of this ordinance, and to such end of the
various provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
