AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A QUIT-
CLAIM DEED TO HYDRAFLO VALVE & MANUFACTURING COM-
PANY, A CORPORATION, QUITCLA]MING ANY INTEREST THE
CITY MAY HAVE TO A TRACT OF LAND, BEING AN EXTEN-
SION OF LOTS 25 AND 26 OF BLOCK 5 OF THE CROCKETT
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, some years ago that part of Fourth Street in the
vicinity of its intersection with Bowie Street was realigned and
improved, same involving an exchange of property with abutting
property owners; and,
WHEREAS, through error, the tract of land described herein,
which was a part of the old right of way of Fourth Street, was not
abandoned as intended, and title records reflect it is still a part
of the right of way of Fourth Street, although not being used as
such; and,
WHEREAS, Hydraflo Valve & Manufacturing Company, a corpora-
tion, the owner of the abutting property and who has exercised
ownership of this tract of land, is now requesting the City to quit-
claim any interest it may have in said tract, and the City Council
is of the opinion that the City has no further need of said property
and is not claiming any interest in same, and that said quitclaim
deed should be executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That the.Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf
of The City of Beaumont a quitclaim deed to Hydraflo Valve & Manufac-
turing Company, a corporation domiciled in Jefferson County, Texas,
on the following described property:
BEING a tract of land out of the Noah Tevis Survey
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;
BEING a tract of land which is the extension of Lots
25 and 26 in Block 5 of the Crockett .Addition to The
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, located
in the Noah Tevis League;

.Said tract being that area between Tract A, conveyed
by the City of Beaumont to C. D. Mabry December 30,
1933 and the East right-of-way line of Fourth Street,
said tract being more fully bounded and described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the north right-of-way line
of Bowie Street, said point being 40 feet west of the
southwest corner of Block 5 of the Crockett Addition
to The City of Beaumont, Texas, said point being the
south corner of said Tract A;
THENCE north along the west line of said Tract A, a
distance of 50 feet to the northwest corner of Tract
A, said point being in the east line of Fourth Street;
THENCE southwest along the east line of Fourth Street,
a distance of 56.17 feet to a point for corner, said
point being the intersection of the north line of ex-
tension of Bowie and the east line of Fourth Street;
THENCE east along the north line of Bowie Street, a
distance of 25.28 feet to the place of beginning.
