THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS; PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Section 5-7 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas,be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
ttSec . 5-7- Same---Same--Detailing policemen, fees.
1tIt - shall be the duty of the chief of police upon
receiving such notification to detail one or more
policemen to attend at such time and place for
the purpose of preserving order, for which duty
the chief of police shall collect in advance from
the proprietor of such place the sum of three
dollars and seventy -.five cents for each hour each
policeman may attend, and the chief of police
shall issue a receipt therefor, and shall pay the
amount so collected into the city treasury.'t
2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set
of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be in-
valid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining por-
tions of this ordinance, and to such end various portions and pro-
visions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
3.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
