ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-2 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES'OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, TO
PROVIDE FOR ISSUANCE OF PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR
APPEAL; PR:OVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,,AND REPEALING
ALL. ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Section 13-2 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"Section 13-2. Storage of inflammables - Permit;
fees.
All metal cans, storage tanks and pumps shall
be installed in a standard manner as provided by the
rules of the National Board of Fire Underwriters and
shall be installed only after a permit has been.ob-
tained from the city manager and under the direction
of the city engineer and the fire chief; provided,
that upon refusal of the city manager to issue such
permit, the applicant may within ten days thereafter,
appeal in writing to the city council. Upon the
failure to appeal in the time and manner prescribed,
the decision of the city manager shall be final.
The fees for such permits shall be as follows:
(1) Metal can--------- --------------$ 1.00
(2) Storage tank---------------------------- 1$.00
Allover one, each----------------------- 7.50
(3) Pump------------------------------------ 5.00
All over one, each---------------------- 2.50
(4) Butane tank for domestic use------------ 5.00
All over one, each -»--------------------- 2.50
(5) Butane tank for commercial use---------- 15.-00
All over one, each---------------------- 7.50
All replacements at one --half (-L) ) price .

That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be in-
valid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
pui• V -runs or -Wiis ordinance, and to such end various portions and
Provisions of this ordinance,are declared to be severable.
3.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
