CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A WARRANTY
DEED TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, CONVEYING 47,427 SQUARE
FEET OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute and deliver
for and on behalf of the City of Beaumont a warranty deed conveying
to the State of Texas the following described tract of land, to wit:
Being a part of the land conveyed to Mrs. H,_V.
Keith by the heirs of John W. Keith by partition
deed dated May 30, 1896, recorded in Volume 14,
Page 151, of the Deed Records of Jefferson County,
Texas, and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is located in the south-
east corner of Lot No. 7 of Block No. 2 of the Pearl
Addition; said point also being located on the North
line of Miller Street;
THENCE South 89° 554 East along the North line of
Miller Street for a distance of 122.7 feet to a point
where said North line of Miller Street intersects the
West line of Pine Street;
THENCE North 150 914 East along the West line of Pine
Street for a distance of 300.9 feet to a point where
the West line of Pine Street intersects the :South line
of Concord Road;
THENCE South 89° 484 West along the South line of
Concord Road for a distance of 204.48 feet to a point
for corner;
THENCE South 0° 484 East for a distance of 290.5 feet
to the point of beginning;.said tract containing an
area of 47,427 square feet of land, more or less;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said instrument
and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this 24th day of August, 1965.
