ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF STATES
UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE IN EFFECT NEW
SCHEDULE WHA, RIDER FOR APARTMENT HOUSE WATER
HEATING SERVICE, EFFECTIVE AS TO,SERVICE RENDERED
BY SUCH COMPANY ON AND,AFTER JULY 1, 1965.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company on JUNE 22. , 1965,
has requested authority to place into effect new Schedule WHA. Such new
schedule has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont, and
approved by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to place into
effect as to service rendered by it on and after July 1, 1965, to its
customers located in Beaumont, Texas, new Schedule WHA.

That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any manner
now or hereafter limiting or modifying the right and power of the City
Council under the law to regulate the rates charged by Gulf States Utilities
Company for its services within the City of Beaumont.
PASSED by the City Council this the 22ND day of JUNE ,
A. D., 1965.
