UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE IN.EFFECT NEW RATE
SCHEDULES, TO -WIT: :SCHEDULES'IPS, LARGE POWER
SERVICE; LIS,; LARGE INDUSTRIAL SERVICE; LIS -ST,
RIDER TO SCHEDULE IIS FOR SHORT TERM SERVICE;
LIS -OP, RIDER TO SCHEDULE -LIS FOR OFF-PEAK
SERVICE; AND TO CANCEL. SCHEDULES 417 AND 419
WHICH ARE SUPERSEDED BY SCHEDULES IPS AND LIS,
EFFECTIVE AS TO SERVICE RENDERED BY SUCH COM-
PANY ON AND AFTER JANUARY 1, 1966.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company on December 30th ,
1965, has requested authority to place into effect new Schedules
IPS, LIS, LIS --ST, and IIS_OP. Such new schedules have been filed
with the. City .Clerk of the City of Beaumont, and approved by
the City Council;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized
to place into effect as to service rendered by it on and after
January 1, 1966, to its customers located in Beaumont, Texas,
new Schedules IPS, LIS, IIS --ST, and LIS --OP.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed
in any manner now or hereafter limiting or modifying the right
and power of the City Council under the,law to regulate the rates
charged by Gulf States Utilities Company for its services with-
in the City of Beaumont.
