ORDINANCE NO. ( 6 -10
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A
PORTION OF BLODGETT STREET SOUTH OF PIPKIN STREET
IN HIGHLAND HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAU--
MONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,.AS DESCRIBED HERE-
IN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:.
That the following described portion of Blodgett Street, South of
Pipkin Street, in Highland Heights.Addition to The City of Beau-
mont"., Jefferson County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated
and abandoned, ,and that title to.said portion of said street
revert to and become the property of the parties entitled thereto
by law, said property being described as follows, to wit:
BEING a rectangular shaped tract of land which is
11.97 feet wide and 149 feet long in the Blodgett
Street right of way in the Highland Heights Addi-
tion to The City of Beaumont, in the J. W. Bullock
League, Jefferson County, Texas; more fully de-
scribed as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 6 of Block
9 of Highland Heights Addition as replatted and as
recorded in Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas,
in Volume 7 at Page 36, same corner being the point
of intersection of the West line of the 61.97 feet
wide Blodgett Street with.the South line of the 60
feet wide Pipkin Street;
THENCE South along the East line of Lot.6 and along
the West line of the 61.97 feet wide Blodgett Street
for a distance of 149 feet to the Southeast corner
of Lot 6;
THENCE East along the 'Eastward extension of the
North line of a 10 feet wide alley along the South
side of Block 9 for a distance of 11.9.7 feet to a
point for corner; ._4*1�
THENCE North along a line which is parallel with and
11,97 feet East of the West line of the presently
existing 61.97 feet wide Blodgett Street for a dis-
tance of 149 feet to a -point for corner in the South
line of Pipkin Street extended across the intersection
of said streets;
THENCE West along the South line of Pipkin Street for
a distance of 11.97 feet to the place of beginning;
