ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, BY ADDING A SECTION TO
BE NUMBERED 24--6.1, PROVIDING THAT THE CITY COUN--
CIL MAY WAIVE THE INSURANCE AND BOND REQUIREMENTS
OF SECTION 24.6 UPON THE CONDITIONS NAMED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That th& Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, is hereby amended
by adding a section, to be numbered Section 24.-6.1, which said
section reads as follows.,
ItSection 24..6.1. Insurance and Bonds -- Waiver.
"The City Council may waive the requirements for
surety bond and policies of insurance as required
in Section 24..6 hereof as to any permittee who is
financially responsible and capable of meeting
obligations for amounts in excess of $150,000.00,
upon permittee filing with the City Clerk of The
City of'Beaumont in lieu of any said surety bond
or insurance requirements a letter of acceptance
and indemnity, approved by the City Attorney, bind-
ing and obligating such permittee to abide by the
.conditions for which surety bond and insurance
policies are required as prescribed in said Section
24.-6., and agreeing. to indemnify -and hold the City
of Beaumont harmless from any and all liability
growing out of or attributable to the granting of
any and all permits to'such permittee.rt
