'ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A. WARRANTY
DEED TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, CONVEYING 47,500 SQUARE
FEET OF LAND IN CENTRAI, PART IN . TH8 CITY OF BEAU--
MONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY ;OF BEA,UMONT, TEXAS
That -the Mayor be.and he is hereby authorized to execute.and de-
liver for and on behalf of The City of Beaumont a warranty deed
conveying to the State of Texas for the use and benefit of the
Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation the fol-
lowing described tract ofland, to wit:
Beginning at a stake for corner in the southline
of Fannin Street, said point being located two
hundred feet East of the intersection of the south
line of Fannin Street and the east line of Eighth
Street;
Thence North eighty --nine degrees fifty. -eight min-
utes forty seconds East along the south line of
Fannin Street a.distance of 100 feet to a stake
for corner; -
Thence South nought degree four minutes West along
a line that is 300 feet from and parallel to the
east line of Eighth Street a distance of 475 feet to
a point for corner;
Thence South eighty --nine degrees fifty --eight minutes
forty seconds West along a line that is 475 feet
from and parallel to the south line of Fannin Street
a distance of one hundred feet to a stake for corner.
Said corner being in the east line of the 200 --foot
ship of land off of the west end of Central Park
previously conveyed by The City of Beaumont to The
Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Beaumont,.Jefferson.
County, Texas;
Thence North nought degree four minutes 'East along
a line that is two hundred.feet from and parallel
to the east line of Eighth Street and also the east
line of The Cerebral Palsy Foundation 200 -foot strip
of land a distance of 4'75 feet to the place of begin-
ning, containing in area forty -.seven thousand five
hundred square feet of -land;
and the City Clerk i -,s" hereby authorized to attest to said instru-
ment and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
