ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN
PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS
AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CODE ,OF
ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE
CLASSIFICATION OF TWO TRACTS OF LAND SITUATED IN
THEA. WILLIAMS LEAGUE IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,.AS.DESCRIBED HEREIN,
PRESENTLY ZONED ttR-ltt Td "R -31t ; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY .THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: TEXAS.
.Section 1.
That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, and in particular the boundaies: of the zoning districts
as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred
to in Section 42.-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the
zoning classification of the'following.described tracts of land,
presently zoned ttR-ltt, Single Family Dwelling District, to
ttR-311, Modified Two -Family and Multiple --Dwelling District,
to wit:
TRACT I•
ALL That certain tract, piece or parcel of land being
in and a part of the A. Williams League Survey in Jefferson
County, Texas, described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake 25 ft. south of the northwest
corner of Lot No. 5 of the T. J. Russell Subdivision in
the A. -Williams League, said stake being in the east right
of way line of North 10th Street (formerly known as the
Old Eleventh Street Road and Reliance Street) and being
in the southwest corner of an 8 ft. additional right of
way strip deeded January 17, 1940, by Leon Boudreaux to
Jefferson County ,by deed recorded in Volume 473 at
page 377 of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas,
for Delaware Street.
THENCE east along the south line of said 8 ft. additional
right of way 337 ft. to the iron stake and the northeast
corner of the tract herein described, same being the
northwest corner of a.tract heretofore conveyed to Mrs.
Walter Bell by Leon Boudreaux:by deed dated July 7, 1939,
and recorded in Volume 467, at page 458 of the Deed
Records of Jefferson County, Texas;
THENCE south along the west boundary line of said
Mr..Walter Bell tract 160ft. to an iron stake for the
southeast corner of the tract herein described;
THENCE west and parallel to,, -the south line of said
right of way deeded to Jefferson County, 337 ft. to
an iron stake in the east line of North 10th Street
(formerly known as the Old Eleventh Street Road and
Reliance Street);
THENCE north along the east right of way line of North
10th Street (formerly known as tl-e OldEleventh Street
Road and Reliance Street) 160 ft. to the place of
beginning, and containing 1.238 acres of larid,
more or less, and including one-half (1/2) of the abutting
street right of way.

ALL-that

in and a part of the A. Williams League Survey in
Jefferson County,.Texas, described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point located 160 feet south of an iron stake
which is 25 ft. south of the northwest corner of Lot
No. 5 of the T. J. Russell Subdivision in the A. Williams
League, said stake being in the east right of way line
of North 10th Street ( formerly known as the Old
Eleventh Street Road and Reliance Street) and being
in the southwest corner of an 8 ft. additional right

112 ft, to a point for corner;
THENCE west along a line parallel to and 429 ft. south of the
south right of'way line of Delaware Street for a distance
of 337 ft. to a point located in the east right of way
