ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT
PORTION .OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 32, CALDER ADDITION TO
THE CITYOF BEAUMONT, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN; PROVID-
ING THAT SUCH ABANDONMENT SHALL IN NO WAY AFFECT THE
GENERAL. UTILITY EASEMENT -GRANTED -TO THE CITY OF BEAU--
MONT IN SAID ALLEY, DATED JULY 5, 1963, AS SET FORTH
HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the following described portion of an alley in Block 32 of
Calder Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title
to said alley shall revert to and become the property of the per --
sons entitled thereto, as provided by law, said portion of said
alley being described as follows:
Being a portion .of the length of the twenty -foot
(201) wide East --West alley in Block No. 32 of the
Calder Addition to The City of Beaumont, said por-
tion of alley being one hundred fifty (150).feet
in length and extending West from the West line of
Forrest Street for a distance of one hundred fifty
(150) feet; and said portion of the alley being
abutted -on the North by.Lots Nos. 1, 2, and 3 of
said Block No. 32;
provided, however, that the vacating and abandoning of said alley
shall not be contstrued as abandoning, and shall not affect, the
general utility easement granted to the Cityo.f Beaumont in said
alley, on July 5, 1963, by W. Harry Longe; the rights granted in
said easement for gener-al utility -purposes being expressly reserved.
