STREET,. LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS. NOS . 2 AND 9 OF THE
NECHES RIVER PARK ADDITION; -AS MORE PARTICULARLY DE-
SCRIBED HEREIN; AND VACATING AND ABANDONING THE
NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK NO. 9, NECHES RIVER PARK
ADDITION, FROM THE NORTH LINE OF FINIS.STREET TO
THE SOUTH LINE OF THE FORMER TOLTEC STREET, AS MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, a petition has been presented.to the City Council
of The City of Beaumont by the owners of all of the property abut --
ting the following described portion.of Herring Street, and the
North --South alley in Block No. 9, in Neches River Park Addition,
requesting that said portion of Herring Street and said alley be
vacated and abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, said petition has been referred to the Planning
and Zoning Commission of The City of Beaumont for examination and
approval, and the same has been approved by said Commission; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is in the

best interest of The City of Beaumont and beriefit to the public that
the following described portion of Herring Street and the following
described alley in Block No. 9, of Neches River Park Addition, be
vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,

TEXAS.
1.
That the following described portion of Herring -Street, to wit:
Being that portion .of the eighty (80) foot wide
right of way of Herring Street now established in
The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, ex-
tending from the North line of Finis Street to the
North line of the former Toltec Street, a distance
of three hundred sixty (360) feet, and lying between
Blocks Nos. 2 and 9 of the Neches River Park Addi-
tion.;

be, and the same is. hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title
to said vacated and abandoned portion.of Herring Street shall revert
to and become the property of the parties entitled thereto, as pro-
vided by law.
2.
That the following described alley, to wit:
Being that twenty -•foot (201) wide North-South alley
in Block No. 9 of the Neches.River Park .Addition to
The City of Beaumont, Texas, and extending three
hundred (300) feet in length from.the North line of
.Finis Street to. the South line of the former Toltec
Street;
be, and the same is hereby,vacated and.abandoned,.and that title
to said vacated and abandoned alley shall revert to..and become the
property of the parties.entitled thereto, as provided by law.
