HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 93 FFG�IG%�l)y 6-2d' 'f ORDINANCE NO. 63 29 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE CODE OF.ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT; TEXAS-, AND IN PARTICULAR - THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS.AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP-OF.THE CITY OF BEAUMONT REFERRED TO IN SECTION 42-9 OF THE CODE OF_ORDINANCES OF BEAU- MONT, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE -CLASSIFICATION OF AN 0.$02 -ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE NOAH TEVIS SURVEY, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HERE- IN, PRESENTLY ZONED 11R -1T1 TO "R -31t; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A -PENALTY. - BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas' and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the following described property, presently zoned 11R-111, Single Family Dwelling District, to 11R-311, Modified Two -Family and Multiple Dwelling District, to wit: BEGINNING at a point in the south line of Laurel.Ave- nue, said point being located from point of intersec- tion of east line of 23rd Street and the south line .of Laurel Avenue by the following bearing and distance: N. 890 251 E. 120.00 feet; THENCE North 890 251 East along the south line of Laurel Avenue for a distance of 157.47 feet to point for corner in the. north line of Lot 6, Block 1, Russell Place First Addition; THENCE South 411 46' West along northwest line of afore- mentioned Block -1 for a distance of 410.93 feet to point for corner in the east line of 23rd Street; THENCE North 000 421 2011 East along east line of 23rd Street for a distance of 183.69 feet; THENCE North 461 211 0511 East for a distance of 167.78 feet to the place of beginning and the official Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amended to reflect such change. Section 2. That in all other respects the use of the property herein- above described shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, adopted August 19, 1958, effective October 19, 1958, as mended. Section 3. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of the zoning af- fecting any portion of the property described hereinabove shall be declared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the zoning of the balance of the property described herein. Section 4. That any person or corporation violating any of the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same penalties provided for in the said Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas .
