ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION
OF TOLTEC STREET BETWEEN HERRING STREET AND CARROLL STREET,
AND THAT PORTION OF TOLTEC STREET BETWEEN HERRING STREET
AND THE WEST LINE OF THE NECHES RIVER PARK ADDITION., BOTH
AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; VACATING AND ABANDON-
ING THAT PORTION OF HERRING STREET BETWEEN TOLTEC STREET
AND THE NECHES RIVER AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN;
AND VACATING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS1 .AND 2
OF NECHES RIVER PARK ADDITION AS MORE PARTICULARLY DE-
SCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS:,.petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Beaumont- by the owners of all of the property abutting the following described
portionscmf Toltec Street and the following described portion:.: of Herring Street
and the following described alleys in Blocksl and 2 of Neches River Park
Addition, requesting that said portionsof Toltec Street and Herring Street
and the said alleys be vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, said petition has been referred to the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Beaumont for examination and approval and the same
has been approved by said Commission; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is in the best interest
of the City of Beaumont and benefit to the public that the following described
portionsof Toltec Street and the following described portion of Herring Street
and the following described alleys in Blocks 1 and 2 of Neches River Park
Addition, be vacated and abandoned,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That the following described portions of Toltec Streets to wit:
(A) That portion of Toltec Street as now established in the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, lying between
Blocks Nine (9) and Ten (10) of the Neches River Park
Addition and extending from West line of Carroll Street
to the east line of Herring Street; and
(B) That portion of Toltec Street as now established in the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, lying.. between
Blocks One (1) and Two (2) of the Neches River Park
Addition, and extending from the west line of Herring
Street to the west line of the Neches River Park Addition,
be, and the same are hereby vacated and abandoned and that title to said vacated
and abandoned portions of Toltec Street shall revert to and become the property
of the parties entitled thereto as provided by law.

That the following described portion of..Herring Street, to wit:
That portion of Herring Street as now established in the
City of Beaumont,..Jefferson County, Texas' lying between
Blocks One_(1) and Ten (10) of the Neches River Park
Addition, and extending from the north line of Toltec
Street, .the said north line of Toltec Street being
parallel with and sixty (60) --feet distant from.the
south line of Toltec Street..or the north line of Blocks
Two'(2) and Nine'(9.) of Neches River Park Addition,
to the Neches River. _
be, andthesame is hereby vacated and abandoned and.that title. to said vacated.
andabandoned portion of Herring Street shall revert to and'become the property
of the parties entitled thereto as provided by law.
That the following described alleys, to wit:
(A) That, certain alley through Block. One (1) of the Neches
River Park Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson,
County,. Texas;_extending from Herring Street to the
west' line of said Addition,
(B) That, certain north -south -alley through Block Two (2).
of the Neches River Park Addition extending.from Toltec
Street to Finis Street; - -
(C) That.certain east west alley in Block Two (2) of the
Neches River Park Addition extending from the north -
south alley in Block Two (2) to the west line of the
Neches River Park Addition,
be, and'the same are hereby.vacated and abandoned and the title to said vacated
and abandoned alleys shall.revert to and become the property of the parties
entitled thereto.;as.provided by law.
