ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF STATES
UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE.IN EFFECT A NEW RATE
SCHEDULE- TO WIT: 50.¢, IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS3 EFFECTIVE ON AND AFTER APRIL 1, 1963.
WHEREAS., Gulf States Utilities�Company on April 2� 1963
has requested authority to place in effect New.Rate Schedule 504,
Rider For Ornamental Street Lightingervice;' and such .New Rate
Schedule 504 has been filed with the City Clerk of The City of
Beaumont, and approved by the City Council;
NOWT THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT., TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to place
into effect on and after April 13 1963 in Beaumont, Texas, New Rate
Schedule 50¢, which New Rate Schedule has heretofore been filed by
Gulf States Utilities Company with The City.of Beaumont.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any
manner now or hereafter limiting,br modifying the right and power
of the City Council under the law to regulate the rates charged by
Gulf States Utilities Company for its services within The City of
Beaumont.
