OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONTy.TEXAS,
CHANGING THE PROVISION FOR HOLIDAYS TO BE OB-
SERVED FOR CITY EMPLOYEES BY PROVIDING THAT IF

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONTy TEXAS:
That Section 12-201 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont., Texas,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
USection 12-2.1. Same .- Holidays
(a) The following are designated as.holidays
to be observed for all city employees
occupying permanent positions:
(1).New,Yearts Day;
(2) Texas Independence Day;
(3) Good Friday;
(4) Memorial Day;
(5) Independence Day;
(6) Labor Day;
(7) Thanksgiving Day;
(8) Christmas Day®
(b) If the holiday: -.falls on a Sunday,, it will be
observed on Monday; if the holiday falls.on
Saturday., it will be observed on Friday®
(c) Holidays falling in the vacation period of an
employee will not be counted as part of the
vacation leave .of that emp.loyeeo't
