ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF THE FORTY (40) FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT LYING
BETWEEN LOT 1 AND LOT 6, BLOCK 15 UNIT 12 SUBURBAN ACRES
ADDITION AND A PORTION OF THE FORTY FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE
EASEMENT LYING NORTH OF LAWRENCE DRIVE AND EAST OF
EASTEX FREEWAY (U. S. HIGHWAY 69, 96 AND. 287)5 BOTH
FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED. BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That the following described portion of that certain forty (40) foot
wide drainage easement lying between Lot 1 and Lot 6, Block 1,
Unit 1, Suburban Acres Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas., to wit:
Beginning at a one --half inch iron rod marking the
point of intersection of the westerly right. -of. -way
line of Eastex Freeway (U. S. Highway 692 96 & 287)
and the southerly right-of-way line of Lawrence Drive;
Thence south 19 degrees 33 .minutes East along the
westerly line of Eastex Freeway (U. S. Highway 69, 96
& 287) for a distance of thirty. -four and eighty. -two
hundredths (34.82) feet to a one half inch ironrod for
corner;
Thence south 11 degrees 20 minutes East along the westerly
right-of-way line of Eastex Freeway (U. S. Highway 69, 96
& 287;) for a .distance of thirteen and ninety hundredths
(13.90) feet to a one half inch rod for corner, being the
most northerly corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Unit 1, Suburban
Acres Addition;
Thence south 28 degrees 99 minutes West along the 'south--
easterly right-of-way line of the existing forty (40) foot
wide drainage easement and along the northwesterly line
of Lot 6, Block 1, Unit 1, Suburban Acres Addition for
a distance of three hundred nine and seventy. -one hundredths
(309.71) feet to a point for corner, said corner being
.located north 28 degrees.09 minutes East a distance of
fifty seven and zero hundredths (57.00) feet from the
southwest corner of Lot 6, Block 1, Unit 1, Suburban Acres
Addition;
Thence.north 12 degrees 46 minutes West a distance of sixty-one
and seven hundredths (61.07) feet to a point for corner;
Thence north 28 degrees 09 minutes East along the north--
westerly right-of-way line of the existing forty (40) foot
wide drainage easement and along the southeasterly line
of Lot 1, Block 1, Unit 1, Suburban Acres Addition for a
distance of two hundred ninety. -one and ninety-three hun-
dredths (291.93) feet to a point for corner, said corner
being located in the -southerly right-of-way line of
Lawrence Drive;
Thence north 72 degrees 08 minutes East along the southerly
right--of.-way line of Lawrence Drive. for a distance of eight
and four hundredths (8.04) feet to the place of beginning,
containing in area zero and two hundred eighty-two thou-
sandths (0.282) acres of land, more or less;
be, and the.same is hereby, vacated and abandoned -.,,and that title
to such property shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto as provided by and The City of
Beaumont hereby relinquishes any and all right, title, and in-
terest it had or might have.had in,and to such property.

That the following described portion of an existing forty
(40) foot wide drainage easement lying north of Lawrence Drive
and east of Eastex Freeway (U. S. Highway 69, 96 and 287) to
wit:
Being a tract located in the W. B.. Dyches Survey, Beaumont,
Jefferson Co.unty,y Texas, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point located at the point of intersection of
the easterly right-of-way line of Eastex Freeway (U. S.
Highway 69, 96 and 287) and the southeasterly -right-of-
way line of the existing forty (40) foot wide drainage
easement said beginning point being located north 03 degrees
05 minutes West a distance of one hundred twenty-three
and fifty-eight hundredths (123.58) feet from -the point
of intersection of the easterly right-of-way line of
Eastex Freeway (U. S. Highway 69, 9.6 and 287) and the
northerly right. -of -way line of Lawrence Drxve:
Thence north 55 degrees 37 minutes East along -the south-
easterly right -of. -way lime of the existing forty (40) foot
wide drainage easement for a distance of one hundred fifty-
three and six hundredths (153.06) feet to a point;
Thence south 72 degrees 27 minutes West for a distance of
one hundred thirty-eight and thirteen hundredths (138.13)
feet to a point located at the point of intersection of
the easterly right-of-way line of Eastex Freeway (U. S.
Highway 69, 96 .and 2$7) and the northwesterly right-of-
way line of the existing forty (40) foot wide drainage
easement;
Thence south 08 degrees 21 minutes 30 seconds East along the
easterly right--of-way line of Eastex Freeway (U. S. High-
way 69, 96 and 287) for a distance of thirty. -two and
twenty-eight hundredths (32.28) feet to an angle point
in the.easterly right. -of --way line of Eastex Freeway (U.S.
Highway 69, 96 and 287);
Thence south 03 degrees 05 minutes Bast along the easterly
right -of. -way line of Eastex Freeway (U. S. Highway 69, 96
and 287) for a distance of twelve and eighty-seven hun.-
dredths.(12.87) feet to the place of beginning, containing
in area zero.and seventy -thousandths (0.070) acre of land,
more or less.;
bey and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title
to such property shall revert to and become property of the
persons entitled thereto as provided by law; and The City of
Beaumont hereby relinquishes any and all right, title, and
