ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A PART OF
THE AREA LOCATED IN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AS AN
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AS AUTHORIZED BY THE
MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION ACT; PROVIDING THE PUR-
POSE OF SUCH DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING THAT
SUCH DISTRICT SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE "CITY OF
BEAUMONT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT NO. 3".
Whereas, the 11Municipal Annexation Act", Article 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, authorizes a city to designate
any part of the area located in its extraterritorial jurisdiction
as an industrial district and to contract with the owners of land
in such district guaranteeing the.extraterritorial status of such
district; and,
Whereas, the City Council of The City of Beaumont deems
it to be in the best interest of The City of Beaumont to designate
the hereinafter described area an industrial district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That the area described in Exhibit "A1°, attached hereto
and made a part hereof, located within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of The City of Beaumont is hereby designated and
established as an industrial district of The City of Beaumont.
2.
It is hereby declared to be the purpose of The City of
Beaumont to treat with such area.from time to time as the City
Council of The City of Beaumont may deem to be in the best in-
terest -of The City of Beaumont and to contract with the owners of
land in such industrial district guaranteeing the continuation

of the extraterritorial status of such district for a period of
time not to exceed seven (7) years.
3.
The industrial district created and established by this
ordinance, and described herein, shall be known as the "City of
Beaumont Industrial District No. 3".

TRACT NO. 1
For a locative corner begin at
Block 3, Cartwright and Roberts
A-5;
the northeast corner of Lot G,
Subdivision B, D. Brown League,
THENCE south along the east line of Gulf States Utilities Company's
power line tract and a west line of Mobil Oil Corporation's pro-
perty to the northwest corner of the Houston Chemical property and
the point of beginning of the property herein described, same
being a southwest corner of Mobil Oil tract;
THENCE easterly along the north line of Houston Chemical and a
south line of Mobil Oil to the northeast corner of Houston Chemical
property, same being an interior corner of Mobil Oil property;
THENCE south along the east line of Houston Chemical property and
a west line of Mobil Oil to the southeast corner of Houston
Chemical property;
THENCE west along the south line of Houston Chemical property and
a north line of Mobil Oil to the east line of Gulf States Utilities
Company's power line tract, same being the southwest corner of
the Houston Chemical property;
THENCE north along the west line of Houston Chemical property and
the east line of Gulf States Utilities Company's power line tract
to the point of beginning.
