HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 83 I I+R, ORDINANCE NO. 68 _r % ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF THE FIVE (5) FOOT GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENTS AND THIRTY (30) FOOT STREET EASE- MENTS EXISTING IN BLOCKS ONE (1) AND TWO (2) OF THE WESTWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAU- MONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE PAR- TICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED*BY.THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: That the general utility easements and street easements, as hereinafter described, in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, be and the same are hereby vacated and abandoned, said easements to be abandoned being described as follows, to wit: Being a portion of the five (5) foot general utility easements and thirty (30) foot street easements existing in Blocks one (1) and two (2) of the Westwood Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; said addition being a subdivision of 56.112 acres, more or less, conveyed to Gist Realty Company by Lyle Junker Spencer, et a1, by deed recorded in Jefferson County Deed Records, Volume 304, Page 448; said addition being out of Block "K" of the Thomas H. Langham Estate Subdivision in the H. Williams Survey; said Westwood Addition being recorded in Jefferson County Map Records, Volume 5, Page 82, filed for record on October 24, 1928; said above described five (5) foot general utility easements and thirty (30) foot street easements were created and reserved by the Gist Realty Company in the individual deeds to lots in the Westwood Addition, and said public easements were to be perpetual dedi- cations to run with the title to the land; said easements being more particularly described as follows: 1. (The general utility easements) Upon and across the rear five (5) feet of Lots 8, 9, 141 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and the rear five (5) feet of the south three hundred and sixty (S..360) feet of Lot 22, Block one (1)" Westwood Addition to the -City of Beau- mont, Jefferson County, Texas, as recorded in the Jefferson County Map Records, Volume 5, Page 82; 2. (The street easements) Upon and across the rear thirty (30) feet of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 103 12, 13, 20, 21 and 24 through 29, Vb� F : l )-2.�-/cf 4th Block one (1), Westwood Addition, as re- corded in Jefferson County Map Records, Volume 5, Page 82; 3. (The general utility easements) Upon and across the rear five (5) feet of Lots 2, 33 55 6, 7, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 18, 27, 38, 405 41, 42, 46, 47, 49, 50, 51, 53, 54, and the rear five (5) feet of the north one-half.(N.1/2) of Lots eleven (11) and forty-five (45), Block two (2), Westwood Addition, as recorded in Jefferson County Map Records, Volume 5, Page 82; and 4. (The street easements) Upon and across the rear thirty (30) feet of Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 113, 121 131 14, and 17 through 26, and 29 through 39, and 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 49, 50, and,51, Block two (2), Westwood Addition as recorded in Jefferson County Map Records, Volume 5, Page 82. .
