ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.
68-61 OF NOVEMBER 5, 1968, AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO
EXECUTE AND DELIVER FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT A DEED WITHOUT WARRANTY
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED CONVEYING THAT CERTAIN
TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT 10,
BLOCK 2, NOB HILL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, TO S.
LELEUX.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of November, 1968, The City
Council of The City of Beaumont passed an ordinance, Ordi-
nance No. 68-61, authorizing the Mayor, James D. McNicholas,
to execute on behalf of The City of Beaumont a deed without
warranty express or implied to S. LeLeux. Said ordinance
stated that "all of the City's right, title and interest"
in and to the described property was being conveyed when
said ordinance should have stated that the property was being
conveyed without warranty express or implied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Ordinance No. 68-61 passed by the City Council on
November 5, 1968, is hereby repealed and the following ordi-
nance is enacted in lieu thereof.
2.
That James D. McNicholas, Mayor, be, and he is hereby, author-
ized to execute and deliver for and on behalf of The City of
Beaumont a Deed without warranty express or implied to S.
LeLeux conveying to him that certain tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas and more particularly described as follows:
Lot 10, Block 2, Nob Hill Addition to The
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said
instrument and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont
thereto.
