ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PROPER
OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE
AND DELIVER FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT A DEED WITHOUT WARRANTY EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED CONVEYING ALL OF THE CITY'S RIGHT,
TITLE AND INTEREST IN AND TO LOT 10, BLOCK 2,
NOB HILL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, TO S. LELEUX.
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of February, 1968, The City
of Beaumont recovered a tax judgment against Steve Wright, Jr.,
et al and the foreclosure of a tax lien upon Lot 10, Block 2
of the Nob Hill Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the above described property was sold at
public auction in satisfaction of said judgment and tax lien
and The City of Beaumont purchased said property at said
auction and obtained a Sheriff's Deed dated July 2, 1968,
and recorded in Volume 1559, Page 188 of the Deed Records of
Jefferson County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont holds title to the
above described property in trust for the Beaumont Independent
School District, and the County of Jefferson, State of Texas,
and whereas the Tax Collector has recommended said property
be sold for all delinquent taxes, penalties and interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT) TEXAS:
That James D. McNicholas, Mayor, be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute and deliver for and on behalf of The City of
Beaumont a Deed without warranty express or implied to S. LeLeux
conveying to him all of the City's right, title and interest
in and to the hereinafter described property:
Lot 10, Block 2, Nob Hill Addition to The City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said
instrument and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
