ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE 3400 BLOCK OF MCFADDIN AVENUE LOCATED WEST OF 18TH STREET AND EAST OF LOT 7, BLOCK 1, CALDER PLACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: That portion of the street known as McFaddin Avenue-, as herein- after described, in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned being described as follows, to wit: BEING the most westerly extending block of McFaddin Avenue, a sixty (60) foot street right-of-way, located between Eighteenth Street on the east and on the west by the east property line of Lot seven (7), Block. one (1), Calder Place Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. Said avenue being known as the thirty-four hundred (3400) block of McFaddin, being in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the northwest corner of the intersection, said point being the intersection of the northerly right-of-way line of the McFaddin Avenue sixty (60) foot right-of-way=and the westerly right-of-way line of the Eighteenth Street sixty (60) foot right-of-way, said point also being the southeast corner of Lot eight (8), Block eight (8), Jarrett Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; THENCE in a westerly direction along the most northerly right-of-way line of McFaddin Avenue and the most southerly lot line of Lot eight (8), Block eight (8), of said addition to a point for corner, said point being the southwest corner of Lot eight (8), Block eight (8) of said addition and the northeast corner of Lot seven (7), Block one (1), Calder Place Addition to the City of Beaumont; THENCE in a southerly direction along the most westerly right-of-way line of McFaddin Avenue and the most easterly lot line of Lot seven (7), Block one.(1), Calder Place Addition to the City of Beaumont, for a distance of sixty (60) feet to a point for corner, said point being the southeast corner of Lot seven (7)5 Block one (1), Calder Place Addition and northwest corner of Lot five (5), Block nine (9), Jarrett Addition to the City of Beaumont; leg THENCE in an easterly direction along the most southerly right-of-way line of McFaddin Avenue and the most northerly lot lines of Lots one (1) through five (5), Block nine (9), Jarrett Addition to the City of Beaumont, to a point for corner, said point being the intersection of the most southerly right-of-way line of the McFaddin Avenue sixty (60) foot right-of-way and the most westerly right-of-way line of the Eighteenth Street sixty (60) foot right-of-way, said point also being the northeast corner of Lot one (1), Block nine (9), Jarrett' Addition to the City of Beaumont; THENCE in a northerly direction along the most -westerly right-of-way line of Eighteenth Street a distance of sixty (60) feet to the place of beginning, containing 0.179 acres, more or less. Provided, however, that the vacating and abandoning of said portion of said street shall':not be construed as abandoning and shall in no way affect the easement for general utility purposes granted on May 11, 1968, by.Affiliates, Inc. to the City of Beaumont across property in the Calder Place Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; the rights granted in said easement for general utility purposes being expressly reserved.
