ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-127
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS,
SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT M. J. DURIRON AND DURCON
-PIPE AND FITTINGS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR SPECIAL
WASTES UPON THE CONDITION THAT ALL MECHANICAL
JOINTS BE COATED WITH AN ASPHALT MASTIC WHEN
BURIED'. -.PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY,OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
1.
That Section 28-127 of the Code of:Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 28-127. Material and size.
The material and size of indirect waste pipe shall be
in accordance with the provisions of the other sections
of -,this code (article),applicable to sanitary drainage
piping.
(a) M. J. Duriron and Durcon pipe and fittings are
acceptable for special-.-wAs.tes upon the condition:,-
that
ondition.that all mechanical joints be coated with an
asphalt mastic when buried."
2.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or:the application of same to a particular
set.of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held
invalid, such invalidity shall in no Urise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various provisions
of this ordinance are declared to be•severable.
3.
That -all ordinance and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

Any person who violates or fails to comply with any provision
of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided
for in Section 28-255 of the Code of ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
