ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
AN EASEMENT IN.SECOND STREET FROM -LAUREL AVENUE
TO THE TEXAS-& NEW ORLEANS RAILROAD RIGHT OF
WAY IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, EXCEPT WHERE SECOND
STREET INTERSECTS -SOUTH STREET.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance dated and passed on August 13, 1929,
of -Beaumont vacated--and-closed Second Street from
Laurel Avenue to the Texas & New Orleans Railroad right of way,
except where Second Street intersects South Street, and by that
same ordinance did reserve unto The City of Beaumont an easement
for drainage, sewer and utility purposes upon the same property;
and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council of The
City of Beaumont that said easement is no longer needed and that
same should be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY -OF BEAUMONT:
That the easement and all: rights to maintain water, sewer and
drainage or utility facilities as reserved in an ordinance passed
on August 13, 1929, in Second, Street from Laurel Avenue to the
Texas & New Orleans Railroad 'right of way in The City of Beaumont,
except where said Second Street intersects South Street, are
hereby in all things vacated and abandoned.
