ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
THAT PORTION OF PECOS STREET LOCATED BETWEEN
AN ABANDONED PORTION OF SECOND STREET AND
THIRD STREET, ALSO LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 12
AND 13 OF THE PARKDALE ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That portion of the street known as Pecos Street, as hereinafter
described, in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, said portion
of Pecos Street to be abandoned being described as follows,
to wit:
Being a portion of Pecos Street, an eighty (80) foot
right of way located between Third Street and an
abandoned portion of Second Street, and lying
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the southeast corner of the
intersection, said point being the intersection of tlu
southerly right of way line of the Pecos Street eighty
(80) foot right of way and the easterly right ofway
line of the Third Street sixty (60) foot right of way
and said point also being the northwest corner of Lot
6, Block 13, Parkdale Addition to The City of Beaumont;
THENCE in an easterly direction along the -most southerly
right of way line of Pecos Street and the northerly lot
lines of Lots 6 through 1, Block 13, Parkdale Addition,
to a point for corner, said point being the northeast
corner of Lot 1, Block 13 of said addition, and said
point also being the intersection of the southerly right
of way line of Pecos Street and the westerly right of
way line of the abandoned Second Street forty-eight (48)
foot right of way;
THENCE in a northerly direction along the westerly right
of way line of the abandoned Second Street forty-eight
(48) foot right of way a distance of eighty (80) feet.
to a point for corner, said point being the intersection
of the northerly right of way line of the Pecos Street
eighty (80) foot right of way and the westerly right
of way line of the abandoned Second Street right of way
said point also being the southeast corner of Lot 12, Block
12, Parkdale Addition;

THENCE in a westerly direction along the northerly
right of way line of.Pecos Street and the southerly
lot lines of Lots 7 through 12, Block 12, Parkdale
Addition, to a point for corner, said point being
the southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 12 of said
addition, and said point also being the intersection
of the northerly right of way line of the Pecos Street
eighty (80) foot right of way and the easterly right
of way line of the Third Street sixty (60) foot
right of way;
THENCE in a southerly direction along the easterly
right of way line of Third Street a distance of
eighty (80) feet to the place of beginning, containing
0.569 acres, more or less.
