ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF STATES
UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE INTO EFFECT NEW RATE
SCHEDULE TO WIT: SCHEDULE FC, RIDER TO SCHEDULES
LIS AND LPS•CONTRACTS.PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 1968
FOR SUBSTATION FACILITIES; AND TO PLACE INTO EFFECT
REVISED SCHEDULES LPS, LARGE POWER SERVICE; LIS,
LARGE INDUSTRIAL SERVICE; LIS -OP, RIDER TO SCHEDULE
LIS FOR OFF-PEAK SERVICE; AND TO CANCEL SCHEDULES
LPS DATED OCTOBER 1, 1966; LIS DATED OCTOBER 1, 1966
AND LIS -OP DATED OCTOBER 1, 1966 WHICH ARE SUPERSEDED
BY REVISED'SCHEDULES LPS, LIS, AND LIS -OP AND TO CANCEL
SCHEDULE 404-T. OIL FIELD AND OIL PIPE LINE SERVICE;
EFFECTIVE AS TO SERVICE RENDERED BY SUCH COMPANY
ON AND AFTER JANUARY 1, 1968.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company on December 20, 1967,
has requested authority to place into effect new Sbhedule FC; and
also to place into effect Revised Schedules LPS, LIS, and LIS -OP.
Such new and revised schedules have been filed with'. -:the City Clerk
of The City of Beaumont, and approved by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to
place into effect as to_service rendered by it on and after January
1, 1968 to its customers located in Beaumont, Texas, new Rate
Schedule FC and revised Schedules LPS, LIS, and LIS -OP; and Gulf'
States 1,s further authorized to cancel,.upon said new and revised
schedules being placed in effect,' its previously effective
Schedules LPS, LIS, LIS -OP and 404-T.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed
in any manner now or hereafter limiting or modifying the right and
power of the City Council under the law to regulate the rates charged
by Gulf States Utilities Company for its services within Th&':'City
of Beaumont.
