AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING. -OF THE ALLEY LOCATED
IN BLOCK NUMBER FIFTY-ONE •.(51) OF THE JEF_ CHAISON SECOND ADDITION TO
-THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.
WHEREAS, a petition duly -signed by Jef:Chaison Townsite
Company by Jef . C . Russell-, J. C. Lancaster, W. H. B. Fehl, D. C. -
Challie and F. E.--Gentz, -.owners of all the property located in Block
- Number Fifty-one (51)- of the Jef Chaison. Second Addition. to the
City- of Beaumont, abutting on ,said- alley.,- has ,been .presented to
the City_ C ozmnis sion. of the City of- Beaumont, requesting., that the
said alley be vacated a.nd closed.
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT - ORDAINED BY THE CITY.
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley.located in-BZ:ock Number Fifty -one -(51)
of the Jef Chal son. Second A;ddition'.to the City- of. Beaumont be, and
the same is. hereby authorized. to be- vacated and closed, and that the
title to"such alhey-shall. revert to and become the property -of the-
re spe c.tive
he.respective owners,., of the land in- said block bordering.. on said alley'.
as provided by law;_ provided, -however, that the closing of -this
alley 'shall- in no -way affect. -.the rights- of the City.a s to placing
and maintaining therein any sewer or water lines,. or telephone,
telegraph or ' electric= lines, wires; -poles -or cables, -or .any other
service, or utility". of the City, or the, right. to grant franchises
to. persons or corporations to place -and maintain therein any. such
sewer or water lines; or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines,
-wires, poles or cables, or any other service or utility of -the City,
all .of which rights are hereby reserved.
