AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEYS
LOCATED IN BLOCKS 140 AND 141 OF THE CARTWRIGHT SECOND ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.
11MEREAS, two petitions duly signed by L. Cartwright
and J. S. Cartwright, owners of all the property located in -
Blocks 140 and 141 of the Cartwright Second Addition to the City
of Beaumont, abutting on said alleys,have been presented to the
City Commission of the City of BeaLunont, requesting that the
said alleys be vacated and closed.
NOW.9 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT :
That the alleys located in Blocks 140 and 141 of the
Cartwright Second Addition to the City of Beaumont be, and the
same are hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and that the
title to such alleys shall revert to and become the property of
the respective owners of the land in said blocks bordering on
said alleys, as provided by law; provided, however, that the
closing of these alleys shall in no way affect the rights of the
City as to placing and maintaining therein any sewer or water
lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles
or cables, or any other service or utility of the City, or the
right to grant franchises to persons or corporations to place
and maintain therein any such sewer or water lines, or telephone,
telegraph, or electric lines, wires, poles or cables, or any
other service or utility -of the City, all of which rights are
hereby reserved.

attached instrument is a full, true, and correct copy of an Ordinance vacating and closing
alleys located in blocks 140 and 141 of the Cartwright second addition to the City of
Beaumont. This document appears of record in my office and that said document is an official
record from the public office of the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, State
of Texas, and is kept in said office.
I further certify that I, Tina Broussard, am the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont, that I
have legal custody of said records, and that I am a lawful possessor and keeper and have legal
custody of the records in said office.

WHEREAS, two petitions duly signed by L. Cartwright
