AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK 33 OF THE JEF CHAIS ON ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by H. Fehl, owner
of Lots 3, 4, 5 & 6, Block 33 of the Jef Chaison Addition; E. A.
Cryer and Blanche Cryer, owners of Lot 7 & E2 of 8, Block 33 of
the Jef Chaison Addition; Walter C. Bennison and Alice Bennison,
owners of Lot 10, Block 33 of the.Jef Chaison Addition; W. F.
McDougle and Mrs. Wilkie Moore McDougle, owners of Lot 9 & W2 of
82 Block 33 of the Jef Chaison Addition; .Gulf State Utilities
Company, owner of Lots 1 & 2, 11 & 12, Block 33 of the Jef Chaison
Addition, being owners of all the -_property located in Block 33
of the Jef Chaison Addition to the City of Beaumont, abutting on
said alley, has been presented to the City Commission of the City
of Beaumont, requesting that the said alley be vacated and closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley located in Block 33 of the Jef Chaison
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas be, and
the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and the
same is hereby vacated and closed, and that the title of such
alley shall revert to and become the property of the respective
owners of the land in said block bordering on said alley, as pro-
vided by law; provided, however, that the closing of this alley
shall in no way affect the rights of the City as to placing and
maintaining therein any sewer or water lines or gas lines, or
the right to grant franchises to persons or corporations to place
and maintain therein any such sewer or water lines, all of which
rights are hereby reserved.
