AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING OF THE
ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK TWENTY-FIVE (25) OF THE
BLANCHETTE FIRST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUM0NT.
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by Anna Rue
Overstreet Burkett, owner of Lot No, 1 and 1/2 of Lot
iio. 2; Graham Burkett, owner of Lot No. 3 and 1/2 of
Lot No. 2; and the Mrs. C. C. Delaune Estate by Eley A.
Blanchette., Lloyd M. Blanchette, Clyde 4V. Blanchette,
onier of Lots Nos. 4 to 12, inclusive, owners of all the
property located in Block 25 of the Blanchette First Ad-
dition to the City of Beaumont, abutting on said alley,
has been presented to the City Commission of the City of
Beaumont, requesting that t he.said alley be vacated and
closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMIONT:
That the alley located in Block Twenty-five (25)
of the Blanchette First Addition to the City of Beaumont be,
__ _ and the same is hereby --authorized to be. vacated and- closed
and that the title to such alley shall revert to and become
the property of the respective owners of the land in said
block bordering on said alley, as provided by law; provided,
however, that the closing of this alley shall in no way af-
fect the rights of the City as to placing and maintaining
therein any sewer or water lines, or telephone, telegraph,
or electric lines, wires, poles or cables, or any other
service or utility of the City, or the right to grant fran-
chises to persons or corporations to place and maintain therein
any such sewer or water lines, or telephone, telegraph, or
electric lines, wires, poles or cables, or any other service
utility of the City, all of which rights are hereby reserved.
