ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK EIGHT (8) OF THE ROBERTSON
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
WHEREAS, a petition duly signed by the Estate of
Jesse W. Stuart by Mrs..Jesse W. Stuart, owner of Lot No.
1 and North 1/3 Lot R; Perry D. Loomer, owner of South
2/3rds Lot 2 and North 2/3rds Lot 3; F. H. Patrick, Sr.,
owner of Lots 5 and 6; J. B. Ford, owner of Lot No. 10;
Mrs. Carrie Nelson, owner of Lots Nos. 11 and 12; Mrs.
R. A. Kinnear (Hatfield Estate), owner of Lots Nos.
8 and 9; Mrs. E. T. Fuller, owner of Lot 7, and A. R.
Johnson and Mrs. Lucille Johnson, owners of 1/3 of Lot 3 and
all of Lot 4p owners of all the property located in Block 8
of the Robertson Addition to the City of Beaumont, abutting
on said alley, has been presented to the City Commission
of the City of Beaumont, requesting that the said alley be
vacated and closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0MMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the alley located in Block Eight (8) of
the Robertson Addition to the City of Beaumont be, and the
same is hereby authorized to be vacated and closed and that
the title to such alley shall revert to and become the property
of the respective owners of the land in said block bordering
on said alley, as provided by law; provided, however, that
the closing of this alley shall in no way affect the rights
of the City as to placing and maintaining therein any sewer
or water lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines,
wires, poles or cables, or any other service or utility of
the City, or the right to grant franchises to persons or
corporations to place and maintain therein any such sewer
or water lines, or telephone, telegraph, or electric lines,
wires, poles or cables, or any other service or utility
of the City, all
of which
rights are
hereby reserved.
