WHEREAS, Bonds Numbers 181 to 195, both inclusive, and 199 to .208, both inclusive, in the denomination of 01,000.00 each, aggregating $25,000.00, are now outstanding general obligations of the City of Beaumont, Texas; and. WHEREAS, the holders of said bonds have brought to the attention of the City Commission of said City the fact that said bonds have been mutilated; and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it advisable to re -issue said - bonds in order that the holders thereof may market same more readily; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEATBIONT, TEXA.S: I. That bonds of the City of Beaumont known as 'City of Beaumont Wharf and. Dock Extension and Improvement Bonds 1929, Series JL," bearing date of March 1, 1911, in the amount of $25,000.00, numbered from 181 to 195, both inclusive, and from 199 to .205, both inclusive, in denomination of $1,000.00 each, bearing interest at the rate of four and one-half d4 D per cent per annum, payable semi-annually on March lst and September 1st of each year, both principal and interest payable at the office of the Director of Finance of the City of Beaumont, or at the office of the National City Bann in the City of New York, at the option of the holder, and maturing, Bonds Numbers 181 to 195, inclusive, on March 1, 1952, and Bonds Numbers 199 to .208, inclusive, on March 1, 1953; be re -issued® ,I%o That said bonds, which are being re -issued, shall be in the same form as the present outstanding bonds above described, which form is substantially as follows: FOIA! The importance of this measure, and its intent and purpose being declared to be for the immediate benefit of the public business of the City of Beaumont, constitutes an emergency and an imperative necessity that the rule requiring ordinances to be read at more than one meeting of the City Commission, be suspended, and it is ordained that this ordinance take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval.
